Arsenal fires eight scout members along with its chief Steve Morrow

The sacking of eight staff members just makes the situation worse for Arsenal. Kevin Beadell, Dan Rice and Dave Lee are some of the renowned names in the list.

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal have reportedly fired eight members from their scouting staff which also includes Steve Morrow, the head of their youth scouting team. The process is considered to be a move to rebuild their academy standards. Steve Morrow was associated with the Gunners for 20 years and he also featured and scored for Arsenal in the 1993 League Cup finals. Arsenal are currently on a downhill as things as not looking stable with their poor form. The rising tension between Unai Emery and Mesut Ozil is also a negative sign for the club. The 2003-04 invincibles reportedly pay £350,000-per-week to Ozil, who has only made one start this season.

Adding to all this, Granit Xhaka is on poor terms with Arsenal fans at present. The captain was seen sharing some cuss words with the fans while he was subbed off during their recent Crystal Palace clash. The sacking of eight staff members just makes the situation worse for Arsenal. Kevin Beadell, Dan Rice and Dave Lee are some of the renowned names in the list of members. Last year, Arsenal appointed veteran Per Mertesacker as the chief of the academy and the continuity of his role at the club is still to be known. Arsenal are still to announce his exit from the club. The North London club are currently on the fifth spot of the Premier League table with four wins in 11 games (D5 L2).
