Cow dung is a useful material and helps us in a variety of ways. It's also a plentiful and renewable resource. The manure is used as a rich fertilizer, efficient fuel and biogas producer, a raw material for papermaking, and as an insect repellent. The manure also plays an essential role in the lives of various animals, plants, and microbes. Interestingly, people in Gomatapura, South India annually celebrate the festival of Goraihabba where people indulge in throwing and playfully fighting with cow dung after they collect it from cattle farmers.
